2021 Virtual Annual Conference Review |
|
We had an amazing Virtual Conference! Over 500 people registered!
As our current times required, we were not able to meet in person for our Annual Massage & Bodywork Educational Conference. However, that did not deter us from having an AMAZING 3-day, 9 presenters, virtual conference from the safety and convenience of our own homes!
We covered Research, started off the morning with Yoga, and throughout the weekend were able to attend many excellent presentations such as Update on COVID-19, Making Use of Social Media for Your Practice, How to Collaborate with Allied Health Professionals, On-Line Marketing Essentials, Perinatal Healthcare System, Lomi to Avoid Burnout, and Mindfulness.

California Chapter Board Election Results |

The 2021 Board Elections concluded in early May. We are excited to welcome our new Board Director, Tracy Albuera, and our new Delegate, Natalie Seiden. Additionally, we're happy to announce that our Financial Administrator, Michael Roberson will return for another term.

We would like to thank John Lambert and Megan Martin for their service to our members. John has served as our GR Chair officially since 2019, and was unofficially and officially holding the Chair while he was the Chapter President. John will continue to serve as our Appointee to the CAMTC Board. Megan has served these last 2 years as our Board Member and has been our Chair for our Conference Education. Megan has plans to move out of state and we wish her the best in establishing her new practice there.

In Memoriam - Irene Smith |
|
We are saddened to announce that Irene Smith has passed from this life into the next. Irene Smith was scheduled to be a speaker for the canceled 2020 California Chapter Massage & Bodywork Educational Conference.
Few people can leave a legacy that is remembered in the minds of others. Irene has left a legacy that will remain in the hearts of those she literally touched at the end of life and to those she taught how to touch and listen to those at the end of life to those served.
