Hafa Adai Catherine,
We had a great Coffee with the Board Candidates event this morning! Our members had an opportunity to listen to Candidates vying for available seats on the 2022 Chamber Board. Although we didn't have an in-person opportunity, this virtual event was the next best thing! Special thanks to our Nominating Committee led by Chairman Christopher Duenas for their efforts this year in bringing together a great slate of candidates for your consideration. We hope that you will make time to get to know them and vote when the ballots are released on November 10th.
Speaking of the Chamber's Board Elections, please note that only one person from your company's executive listing will be provided a virtual election ballot via email. In most cases, it would be the highest-level executive on our member roster if a point of contact is not already assigned. If you have questions about this, please call or write to us at the Chamber office so we can get your questions cleared up. More information is noted below regarding this year's Board elections and election process.
The U.S. Department of Labor has issued new vaccination requirements for employers with at least 100 employees or more. Please view these requirements by scrolling down this message.
Joint Region Marianas has confirmed that a big ship visit will take place next week. There will be over 5,000 military personnel on Guam for some R & R and about two-thirds of the group will be out in town to enjoy our island's culture and people. Let's be sure to welcome them with a warm Hafa Adai!
It has been wonderful reconnecting with members as many have stopped into the Chamber office to receive their milestone anniversary awards over the past few weeks. We look forward to an opportunity to see you again soon! As always, we welcome your thoughts and ideas. Feel free to reach out and contact me: ccastro@guamchamber.com.gu
Have a great weekend!
Onward Together,
Catherine Castro
