Exhibition & Photo Collection Opportunity for Cabrillo Photo Students

“Art Library” at Ohana, Montage Health

Submit your photographs to be considered for inclusion in the “Art Library” at Ohana, Montage Health’s new youth mental and behavioral health facility, opening at Ryan Ranch in spring 2023. This one-of-a-kind facility will provide innovative, self-empowering mental health services for youth across the greater Monterey, Salinas and Santa Cruz areas. Youth in residential care at Ohana will be able to select artworks from the library to hang in their private bedrooms. This is an opportunity for your art to have a positive impact on your peer community. Photographs will be reviewed by a jury of professionals, who will select ten images for $200 purchase awards.


Jurors include Dr. Susan D. Swick, executive director, Ohana Center for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health and Ann M. Jastrab, executive director, Center for Photographic Art.


Darkroom and digital photography, color & black and white images


Submission deadline: August 1, 2022

  • High school and college students in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties

The Cabrillo Gallery is proud to present Connections: Cabrillo Art, Photography & Art History Staff & Faculty Exhibition. Connections showcases the diverse range of artwork created by the multi-talented individuals who currently work as instructors and staff in the Art, Photography and Art History programs at Cabrillo College, as well as emeritus faculty and staff. This exhibition gives our hardworking educators and support staff a chance to share their skills and insights into their artistic practice with the Cabrillo students they mentor and the community at large. More than thirty artists will participate in this dynamic exhibition, presenting work spanning multiple media and disciplines, including ceramics, digital fabrication, drawing, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, video and more.
