Last week, CVR MLS implemented several changes mandated by the NAR Settlement. In order to answer questions regarding these changes and practice implications, we have compiled a list of CVR MLS Users' most frequently asked questions in the CVR MLS Compensation Toolkit.

The Compensation Toolkit features several resources for CVR MLS Users, including detailed videos breaking down our new forms with CVR MLS Legal Counsel Michael Lafayette.

Pursuant to the NAR settlement agreement, class notice will be sent to members of the nationwide class of home sellers on or after August 17, 2024. The class action plaintiff attorneys are required to notify the class members of their legal rights and potential benefits under the proposed settlement agreement.

Through the class notice, class members will get answers to questions such as what the litigation is about, what the settlement provides, how to get a benefit from the settlement, how to opt out, and upcoming deadlines in the litigation process.

Class notices are typically distributed through a range of communications, including direct mailings, which are detailed in a document approved by the court. A settlement administrator has been appointed to handle the administrative side of the claim process.

A court-approved website serves as a central resource for information pertaining to the litigation and the settlement. Should you receive questions about the settlement and related class notice from your clients, you should direct individuals to this website at RealEstateCommissionLitigation.com.

Listing Agents - as more and more homebuyers/new owners want to limit interior photos of their homes on third party portals and websites, don’t forget to take advantage of our photo privacy tool.

By selecting the star icon next to a photo in the Manage Photos window, you can limit the syndication of your listing's photographs to just one photo, once the listing is off market.
