John Deere Funding

Mindy will also be answering questions from the audience. A portion of the hour will be used for the group to share lessons or questions sparked in last month's #LearnGrants Online Summit as well as identifying topics to meet your needs in future GWPH sessions.

May 5th Cedar Valley Career Expo

Connect with students for summer employment, internships, apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, full and part time positions during the inaugural 2021 Cedar Valley Career Expo. Employers and organizations set up at 7:30 for an 8:00 start time. The event ends at 3pm and spot interviews are available. Register by completing the registration form here as booths are available on a first come first serve basis. 
UNI-Cue & the Waterloo Career Center Summer Internship Program

The University of Northern Iowa Center for Urban Education and the Waterloo Career Center is excited to announce our inaugural Summer Internship Program. Students 16-19 years of age have an opportunity to work for companies in high demand careers, while receiving pay, mentorship and soft skills. Business orientation will take place on

Job Foundation Talent Show

The Job Foundation is hosting a student talent show and fundraiser to support
the foundation’s programming. There will be performances by talented students enrolled in the program, food, live music and raffle prizes. This event is free for the entire family.

Development Associate

This position is primarily responsible for management of the annual campaign efforts and for special event planning and implementation.

The person selected will provide leadership to campaign volunteers and team to carry out all campaign activities. Consistent with the Cedar Valley United Way Community Impact Model, an ongoing effort will be made with the impact teams to develop additional revenues and resources in addition to campaign dollars.

 

Site Maintenance and Prep Coordinator

The Site Maintenance and Prep Coordinator (SMPC) is responsible for property maintenance, construction prep and warranty work for Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity. The SMPC will work with the construction manager and other construction, neighborhood services and ReStore staff members to ensure all Iowa Heartland Habitat property is tracked, well-maintained, and cared for. The SMPC will work with the construction manager to prepare all job sites for new construction or renovation. Lastly, the SMPC will be responsible for warranty calls as needed on closed Iowa Heartland Habitat projects.


Warehouse and Procurement Supervisor

The Warehouse and Procurement Supervisor (WPS) is responsible for the overall daily operation of the IowaHeartland Habitat for Humanity warehouse. The WPS will oversee all materials procurement (including in-kind donations for construction and ReStore), inventory management, purchasing, and warehousing – with a focus on cost-efficiency, organization, and space utilization.

The right candidate will be part of the management team that works together to develop appropriate goals and strategies to advance the mission of the organization.








Summer Assistant (AmeriCorps 4-H)

Who would be a great candidate: Anyone who loves working with school-aged youth. This position requires a high school diploma or the equivalent. Do you know of a college student home for the summer needing a resume-building experience? Do you know of a school teacher looking to pay off some student loans and wouldn’t mind having some fun this summer?  



High School Education Coordinator

The High School Education Coordinator is responsible for organizing the High School programing with the assistance of the Education Committee and Secondary Education Coordinator. The High School programming includes monthly financial education lessons; earnings based on grades, school attendance and behavior, and mentoring. The mission of The Job Foundation is to equip K-12 students and their families for economic advancement.
