2021-22 CVLI Registration
is OPEN!

Registration for the 2021-22 Cedar Valley Leadership Institute (CVLI) officially opened Monday, July 19.

CVLI is an eight-month course designed to foster community awareness while developing individual leadership skills, giving leaders a broader view of civic leadership responsibilities and opportunities here in the Cedar Valley.

STEM Fair Entry Open

The Black Hawk County Fair Board and Iowa State University Extension & Outreach in Black Hawk County invite any organizations or businesses associated with Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math to exhibit at this year’s Black Hawk County 4-H FFA Fair STEM Fair on Friday, July 30th, 2021. Exhibitors interested in showcasing their STEM-related activities and careers are asked to register by calling Meg at 234-6811 so proper arrangements can be made.

Black Hawk County AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Coordinator

The Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley is seeking a Black Hawk County AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Coordinator. This fulltime, salaried position will develop and implement strategies in conjunction with the Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley with specific emphasis of connecting, mobilizing and inspiring volunteers age 55 or better in mission driven opportunities through the federal AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP in Black Hawk County. The person in this position will connect volunteers in specific areas of programming including reading proficiency programming, disaster volunteer management, income tax programming, and organizational capacity building and training.
