Village's struggles with bulk trash rules continue

Despite weekly reminders and the threat of fines from the City of Deerfield Beach, we are still having issues with residents dumping bulk items around the Village before they are supposed to.

Wednesday is our bulk trash day.

Remember that you are PROHIBITED from placing items out before Tuesdays. Bulk trash items MAY NOT be placed out for collection before Tuesday.

If a third party contractor has done work in your unit, they are REQUIRED to take any bulk items with them. Bulk trash violations may lead to code enforcement fines for nearby buildings or individuals if caught leaving items illegally.

Just the facts, Ma'am (..and sir)

If you ever have questions about the services provided by CVE Master Management, please ask us. We are your front line when it comes to information and assistance. Never hesitate to call or stop in to our office when you have questions about our services.

Here are the people to help you (from left to right):

Sanaiya (in the security office), Margo, Meryl, Kira, Diane, & Sherrie.

By the way, in case you need a reminder of what services CVE Master Management provides, we are responsible for the infrastructure, security, and transportation in the Village. We maintain the roadways and multi-use paths, guard houses, lakes and irrigation. We pay for basic cable TV, water, trash collection, and storm water services for all village buildings.

The open space in the center of the Village, which includes natural areas and park amenities is also owned and operated by CVE Master Management. All buildings within the CVE Master Management Complex are owned by us, along with the Tilford pool, tennis, and pickleball courts.

We do not own, maintain, or provide security for any of the individual condos. They are all private property owned by each individual building.

Preventative maintenance avoids potential disaster

Did you happen to see the recent work done near Ashby D? CVE Master Management regular maintenance checks found FPL lines had pierced the storm drain underground, allowing water to leak into the ground.

This is the recipe for how dangerous sink holes are made! Had this not been discovered, every rainy day would have further eroded the ground, eventually leading to a catastrophic collapse.

Fortunately, the break was discovered and repaired before any further damage was caused.

Coming soon: new sidewalk

This month we begin construction of new sidewalks along North Drive.

The new sidewalks will provide a safe pedestrian path on the road that currently has no place for people to walk.

Message from the Executive Director

These are challenging times

I want to take a few moments to reassure our residents that we are closely following events happening in our area and elsewhere at this time. As the organization in charge of Village security, I want to let you know we are not aware of any specific threats or issues at this time.

However, this is a good time to remind you that our security team members ARE NOT first responders.

If you have an emergency, your first call should always be to 9-1-1.

We recently launched a new public awareness campaign entitled "9-1-1 is #1" to remind you that your first call in an emergency should always be to 9-1-1, NOT VILLAGE SECURITY.

On a lighter note, this is obviously the start of the holiday season. It is the time of year we all take a moment to give thanks. To our American residents celebrating Thanksgiving this month, and to our Canadian residents who celebrated last month, I want to wish all a happy and healthy start to the season.

Our next CVE Master Management Board of Directors meeting will be Thursday, November 16th at 9:30am in Le Club Theater.

As always, be well and stay safe.
