Field trip to CVE Central Park

As CVE Master Management continues to move earth and put in irrigation as the first phase of transforming the golf course into the new CVE Central Park, the Board of Directors recently took a field trip to get an up close and personal view.

It's one thing to see the plans on paper. It's another to actually see the locations where so many one-of-a-kind amenities will be built.

CVE Central Park will play a pivotal role in enhancing quality of life in the village. It will provide beautiful venues for social and community engagement.

Make plans to get your new box if you're up north

We are approaching the roll out of the new Xfinity X1 boxes for our residents. The new boxes are part of the improved new deal CVE Master Management negotiated with Comcast.

If you're a seasonal resident who will soon be heading back north, you may want to make arrangements to have someone able to access your condo when you're gone. They could let in the Comcast representative to install the new boxes.

Otherwise, you will need to visit the Xfinity store in Pompano Beach when you return to get your new box.

Closed captioning added to meetings

The latest CVE Master Management commitment to superior communications has come in the form of new closed captioning. Now, whether you watch a live stream of a board meeting or you catch the video afterwards, the meeting video will offer closed captioning for those requiring it.

The closed captioning is the latest effort by CVE Master Management to ensure all residents are able to benefit from its ongoing promise to provide outstanding communications and transparency.

Welcome aboard

Last month we gave you a "who's who" of the CVE Master Management Board of Directors following the January elections.

At the February board meeting, it was announced that Jeff Kohn would be joining the CVE Master Management Board of Directors to fill a vacant ninth seat.

Join us in welcoming Jeff to the board of directors.

Ask Security Director Kelley

QUESTION:

Director Kelley,

I have seen people entering the village through the gate that separates the village and Sandpiper Pointe. Do you know who they are, and are they allowed to come in the village?

ANSWER:

The people that come in the village through the gate work for Sandpiper Pointe. Toll Brothers owns an easement that is seven feet wide on our side of the wall. They are responsible for maintaining it, and the people that come through the gate are cutting the grass and doing other cleaning on our side of the wall. The gate is locked, and the only people that can open the gate are authorized Sandpiper Pointe employees that have been given a key. At all other times, the gate is locked.

Message from the Executive Director

My thanks for the public support

If you follow my messages month to month, you know one of my priorities is ensuring our residents have accurate information about our services, decisions, and issues affecting our village.

The rise of alternative platforms for resident comments has made it more important than ever not only for CVE Master Management to provide accurate information, but also to praise others when they do the same.

Recently, a resident wrote a letter to the editor in the CVE Reporter claiming CVE Master Management (along with CenClub Recreation) has not been properly supporting tennis in the village.

In response, Peter Silbermann, a resident in Keswick B and an avid tennis player took time to speak publicly at our board meeting to refute the claims made in the letter. He subsequently wrote a detailed letter to the CVE Reporter in response which is printed in the current March issue. I encourage you to read it.

I would like to thank Peter for his efforts. Ensuring every resident has accurate information about our community is a responsibility we all share. I am fully supportive of healthy debate and dialogue concerning issues inside our community. But I am equally committed to ensuring those debates are fueled by true facts and informed opinion.

I invite any resident who has questions about our services to stop by the CVE Master Management office. I am always happy to sit down and spend time with residents.

As always, be well and stay safe.
