Commencement 2024

The Chartiers Valley High School Class of 2024 will graduate on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Chartiers Valley High School. The ceremony will take place outside at the HS stadium, weather permitting. Each graduate will receive eight tickets for commencement and will pick up these tickets at graduation practice on Monday, June 3. MS Students of the Year

Congratulations to 8th-grade students Bella D'Eramo and Adam Rubritz, named Students of the Year. For this award, the 8th-grade teams of teachers submit names that the entire middle school staff votes for. Congratulations to Bella and Adam!




CV Sophomore Makes History with Local Group

CV Sophomore Layla Asbury made history by sharing her passion for it. Layla recently presented on the U.S. Presidents and their wives at the Bridgeville Historical Society's meeting. Her dedication and knowledge earned her the recognition of being the youngest presenter in the Society's history. Congratulations, Layla.


MS Calcusolve Team Succeeds at Competition

The Middle School Calcusolve team had a great showing at this year's Calcusolve competition! Calcusolve is a county-wide competition that challenges students with rigorous math word problems. All middle school students are invited to take the entry-level exam, and the top 20 6th and 7th/8th graders competed with 250 other students in May. Two 8th-grade students, Onur Canpolat and Satvik Andhavarapu, tied for third place. Also, a 6th Calcusolve team made up of Felix Baverso-Koenig, Steve Esak Siga, Saad Khan, and Chase Zimbicki placed 3rd overall in the 5/6 event.


School Board At A Glance

CV School Board At A Glance will be provided after each legislative board meeting. The most recent meeting took place on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.


The Board recognized recent successes in the District, including the participation of CV musicians in the PMEA All-State Festival, school board student representatives, and SHASDA honorees from CVHS.


Mr. Ohliger gave an update on Pathfinder School, including some recent activities at the school.


Mrs. Trainor, the representative for Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3, provided an update on the AIU.


Mr. Choura gave an update about Parkway West CTC.


Student Representatives Brady Baranowski and Sarah LaCamera provided updates on athletics and activities in the schools.
