Local 891 Member,
Last week we sent out information from CUNY regarding the CUNY Days program. There is also another program for those who may want to brush-up on their reading, writing, and math skills before returning to college courses. This program is FREE! See flyer attached
here. This program does start soon but it is something to keep in mind for the future if you decide not to attend now. There are two more opportunities to sign up before the semester begins, Today, Monday, Jan 29 12:30-3 PM, and Tues Jan 30 6-8:30 PM. The classes are fully on-line.
Again, for any member that has been thinking about college courses but are not sure where to go, or just want more information, this program may be helpful. We have approval to hold an in-person information session here at Local 891 soon.
The Murphy Institute for Worker Education at SLU strives to support union members and working adults in reaching their career and academic goals through higher education. The Institute’s CUNY Days: Access to College Program for Working Adults matches the personal and career interests of individual students with colleges and programs throughout the CUNY system.
This entirely free program allows you to speak with a CUNY Representative about what options are available to you and what might work best for you.
