Stearns Trustee Professor of History and Global Studies Kris Manjapra's book Black Ghost of Empire is being made into a documentary by the production company Maroon Visions, led by author and scholar Ibram X. Kendi.

Richard Wamai, Professor of Cultures, Societies and Global Studies, Katherine O’Brien, MPH ’24, and Grace Kennedy, Health Science '25, have published “Visceral leishmaniasis follow-up and treatment outcomes in Tiaty East and West sub-counties, Kenya: Cure, relapse, and Post Kala-azar Dermal Leishmaniasis” in PLOS ONE. Grace and Katherine’s research with Professor Wamai was supported by CSSH Undergraduate Research Initiative funding, and publication was supported by the CSSH EJM Undergraduate Research Fund.
