A Message from Jen Belnap, CRWF President
Happy Mother’s Day! Mothers and women have unique characteristics that serve us as we fulfill our important roles in society and in our homes. Mother’s nurture, strengthen, and prepare their children for life into adulthood. If you help to raise children in your home or children in the community, you are contributing to the success of our nation, especially if you have and give love to grandchildren! Remember, a mother’s work is never done!
Thank you for executing the role of motherhood so well.
In Service,
Jen Belnap
President, CRWF

CRWF Welcomes two exceptional Republican Speakers!
At the May 28th meeting, Carlsbad Republican Women (CRWF) welcomes two exceptional Republican speakers. Dan McAllister, San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector, will address housing, property tax issues and the local economy. Aaron Byzak, candidate for the Tri-City Healthcare District, Zone 5, will speak to his highly regarded qualifications for the Tri-City board. Please join us for a lively and informative meeting!
CRWF will also present a much-deserved donation to Pathway Health Clinic (PHC). PHC provides essential services for at-risk women in the Tri-City area. CEO and CRWF member, Leslie Salazar-Carrillo, will accept the donation on behalf of Pathway.

DAN McALLISTER
McAllister was elected San Diego County’s Treasurer-Tax Collector in November 2002 and re-elected to his sixth term in June 2022. McAllister oversees the collection of over $7 billion in property taxes each year, the management of $12.3 billion in the County’s Investment Pool, and the administration of the County’s $1.5 billion defined contribution program. He has worked extensively to improve customer service, enhance communications and outreach, and assure fiscal stability. He is also a strong advocate for diversity, a value reflected in his staff who come from all walks of life and backgrounds.

AARON BYZAK
Byzak has distinguished himself as a transformational and influential healthcare leader. He spent seven years providing direct patient care on an ambulance, seven years advising state and local elected officials on health policy, and fifteen years serving as a healthcare leader for both Tri-City Medical Center and UC San Diego Health. THANK YOU to CRWF volunteers who helped at the Encinitas and Carlsbad
Street Fairs; Judy Rees, Andrea Ryon, Terry Carpenter, Cathy Dudding, Jennifer
Barber, LaJoyce Robinson, Susan Miller, Jeordie Fellner, Teri House and Tracey Bondi
Pear.
As always, all had a great time but more importantly, it was time well spent.
We all spoke with countless people about the best people to support in the November election. People appreciated being better informed. Signatures were collected for 2 causes. 436 people signed to get the proposition Protect Our Kids on the November ballot and 276 people signed to recall Gavin Newsom. Our CRWF was promoted; 48 potential members signed up for our newsletter.

What are the next steps?
Plans are being made to have a tent on the boardwalk in Carlsbad a few times over the
summer. Watch your emails for opportunities to get involved and help promote our
Republican values.
Mailing Party on May 28th
There will be a mailing party after the May 28th meeting. This is an easy way to get
involved, chat with fellow Republicans and help a cause. It’s in the same room as the
lunch from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Many hands lighten the workload so please consider helping. Click here to join the mailing party!

Gearing up for the General: Growing CA's Election Integrity Operation
Judy Rees – Voter Registration and Election Integrity San Diego County
Election Integrity with the CAGOP has been a work in progress and has finally come together, and with “gusto”. I hope you were able to see the recent Zoom instruction on “Voter Center Observing” with the CFRW and Krista Pittman, Deputy Executive / political Director at California Republican Party. She and her Election Integrity Team have put together a “bullet proof” program that I am passing on to you.
This EI Program, “Protect your Vote” has been passed down from the RNC and is in preparation for the most important Presidential Election of the century. Voting starts the week of October 7, 2024, when ballots are in the mailboxes and people begin to vote. If CRWF does their job, you will have already met the best candidates and had a thorough review of what is on the ballot, then people will VOTE the very day they receive their ballot and TRACK their vote.
Keep up to date on Election Integrity in San Diego County
Today, training is available online and volunteers are to go to https://cagop.org/election-integrity-training/ and sign up to take training on these four sessions:
- Election Integrity Community Organizing Training
- Bank Your Vote & Protect Your Vote Training
- Ballot Harvesting & Curing Training
- Poll Observer Training
Save the Date!! This is all in preparation for the August 6, San Diego County session of:
- Gearing up for the General: Growing CA's Election Integrity Operation Training for San Diego County
This effort is a continuing operation through the summer ... Krista Pittman will be a speaker at our CRWF meeting, June 25. She will give us an update on the project. So, get signed up now for your training and be ready with questions for her. https://cagop.org/election-integrity-training/
“I must say that, I saw Laura Trump on TV promoting the NRC and saying the Election Integrity Program is the best and Donald Trump calling it “To Big to Rig”, along with the influx of illegals that will be trying to vote, this leads me to believe that Election Integrity is going to be a “Big Deal” this year and we must be READY!”
