Participation Details

Crusaders Got Talent grew out of the Covid-19 pandemic--an opportunity for gifted Crusaders to showcase their God-given talents during lockdown. But we were having such fun with it, the tradition continued!

Now in its seventh "season", CGT is a Youtube Live event that will enable Kindergarten through 12th grade students (NCS Online, NCS Flex, and NCS on-the-ground) to submit pre-recorded talent videos, have them reviewed by judges who narrow them down to finalists, and then, ultimately, have those finalists see their videos played during the live online event. In real time, viewers can vote for their favorite entries using their cell phones and then winners--with big cash prizes--are announced live and "on the air".

To participate, please review the following:

(1) There are three divisions for entry: Elementary (Kindergarten through Fifth Grade), Middle School (Sixth through Eighth grade), and High School.

(2) In each of these three divisions, there are four types of videos that may be submitted: general/musical talent, animation, static art (photography, painting, sculpture, pencil drawings, etc.), and Go-Pro-styled 1st person POV adventure videos. Participants are eligible to submit multiple entries in the same category or in multiple categories.

(3) Talent submissions may reflect the work of an individual or a group. In the instance of a group submission, the potential prize money will be divided between the members of the group. If the participants are in multiple divisions, the video will be judged as part of the division represented by the oldest student in the video.

(4) Submissions should be three minutes or less in length. Longer submissions may be sent in but only three minutes will be shown as part of the CGT Facebook Live event.

(5) In each of the three divisions, there are differing prize amounts:

  • Elementary division: 1st place/$250, 2nd place/$150, and 3rd place/$75.
  • Middle School division: 1st place/$500, 2nd place/$300, and 3rd place/$150.
  • High School division: 1st place/$1000, 2nd place $750, and 3rd place/$500.

(6) Submissions can be emailed or delivered to the school office. To email, please use CrusadersGotTalent@ncsaz.org. All submissions are due no later than midnight on Sunday, October 15th.

(7) Questions? Please reach out to Mr. Brown, gbrown@ncsaz.org or (623)225-5573.
