CRPO is keen to engage with registrants about what is happening at the College and in the broader regulatory environment and mental health care system. To that end, we are pleased to schedule nine town halls over the coming the fiscal year.


The first session will be on Wednesday April 24 from 12 noon until 1:00 pm.

At the meeting, staff and Council will provide a general ‘update’ to recap the work that was done in fiscal 2023. We will provide registration statistics; let you know what we are doing to meet the standards set by the College Performance Measurement Framework and provide a preview of work to be done in the coming year.


Town hall meetings are intended to allow organizations to share information and to hear from their system partners. The sessions won’t be ‘educational’ events, so much as they will be opportunities to hear about and to provide input on the work that the CRPO is doing. Sessions for the rest of the year are tentatively scheduled as follows:

  • Thursday May 30 @ 8 am
  • Wednesday June 5 @ 5:00
  • Monday September 23 @ noon
  • Tuesday October 29 @ 8 am
  • Monday November 18 @ noon


Planned topics include:

  • Quality Assurance update: How is the Case Based Assessment going?
  • Conduct issues: information about what kinds of complaints the College is getting and how they are being addressed.
  • Trauma Informed Regulation: what recommendations results from the independent review of the College’s conduct processes and what is the College doing with them?
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Efforts at the College: an update on the work CRPO is doing to ensure that the principles of DEI inform the work of public protection.
  • This will include an update on the self-identification data initiative to share what the College is collecting and why.
  • Private Practice and Self-Regulation: Issues for RPs who are in (or thinking about going into) private practice.
  • Clinical Supervision: Issues related to providing and working under clinical supervision.
  • Regulatory Governance: How the College and Council work, how priorities get set, how money gets spent.
  • L'année en revue et l'année à venir : le point sur le travail de l'OPAO.


Session dates and topics for 2025 will be scheduled and released at the beginning of July 2024.
