Election Results...and
More
Voting!
|
|
The polls have closed and results tallied in CRPO’s Council election. Michael Machan, RP, was elected to the District 8 (Ontario) seat, and Andrew Benedetto, RP and Pay Rayman, RP for District 7 (Central). Each of these members will serve a three-year term on CRPO Council.
Registrants who practice in District 1 and 6 now have an opportunity to nominate themselves or a colleague for a by-election. District 6, in particular, has some important, unique features
highlighted in this video. The deadline for nominations is
July 24; voting will open in August. Eligible voters will receive an email notification of the opening of the polls.

President's Message
I would like to welcome to Council our most recent public appointees, Jane Snyder and Steven Boychyn, and congratulate professional member Michael Machan who was elected in District 8 (all Ontario). Pat Rayman and I were re-elected in District 7 (Toronto).
Both Carol Cowan Levine and Kevin VanDerZwet Stafford attended their last Council meeting in June, where I had the opportunity to acknowledge and thank them for their contributions to Council. Their efforts have helped shape the regulation of the profession of psychotherapy since their participation in the inaugural meeting of the Transitional Council in 2009.
I would also like to acknowledge the contribution of Mary Kardos Burton whose public appointment ended in early June.
By-elections are being held in Districts 1 and 6 and I encourage professional members in those districts to consider running for these positions.
On behalf of Council, I wish everyone an enjoyable summer!

Recognized programs that currently employ PLAR in their admissions process (or intend to in the future) will be asked to provide this documentation during the five-year recognition renewal process.
