SoCal Company Changes Policies After Domestic Violence Survivor’s Civil Rights Complaint Sparks Investigation 


The woman says management served her an eviction notice, claiming her partner's abuse caused a disturbance at the complex and violated the lease. While landlords can have disorderly conduct policies, rules that punish tenants for their abusers’ behavior can unfairly impact women and people of color and break fair housing laws.
