Bridge is a fun game that can be played on many levels.  Since it requires a multiple of four players, get several friends together and explore the potential at either of these clubs which are about six miles from where we live.  If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Nicol (email) or 770-541-6168.
Canasta is a fun game that stimulates your brain but also allows you to converse and get to know your neighbors and have fun during the game.  Partner play allows for more options but individuals can play too.
We meet monthly on the second Thursday from September to August at 12-3 pm.  There is no need to commit to playing every month!  Contact Karen Frantz (email) or 770-715-7139

Hello Hikers!  Trish and I are gearing up for another year of trail exploration!  The theme for this year's hikes is "Traveling the Trails"!  We will be traveling a bit to get to our hiking trails.
See below for the groups list of planned hikes for the year contact Jean to receive email updates. You can also check Facebook and the monthly newsletter for upcoming events.
September: Homestead Trail at Red Top Mountain State Park (moderate 5.5 mile hike)
October:  Hike Inn Hike (moderate, uphill, and with a pack; 5 miles)
November:  Pigeon Hill Trail at Burnt Hickory Road (moderate to strenuous)  This trail climbs up the backside of Kennesaw Mountain and is 4 miles.
December:  Cheatam Hill at Burnt Hickory Road (easy to moderate)  This trail is also in the Kennesaw Mountain National Park and is 4 miles.
January:  Bob Callan Trail  This trail takes us from Cumberland Parkway all the way down to the river at West Palisades Park.  This trail connects to the Silver Comet trail and is part of the River to Mountain trail system.  While it is mostly paved and rated easy, there is a very steep hill coming back up from the river.  It is 4 miles.
February:  Sweetwater White Trail (moderate 4.8 miles)
March:  Yonah Mountain (strenuous) This trail is 2 miles up on a steep incline with beautiful views at the top.  Then 2 miles down on the same steep incline.  It is challenging.
April:  Beltline (easy, but fun! 4 miles)
May:  East Palisades (moderate 3-4 miles, we know this one!)
Please join us for another fun year of hiking!
