Senior Centers closed but meals will still be provided
To protect our most vulnerable Angelenos, the City of Los Angeles and County of Los Angeles Senior Centers were closed to the public on Monday March 16th, but will continue to provide meals.

For now, packaged or frozen foods will be distributed for pickup at regular meal sites. Department of Aging is currently working with partners to provide a home delivery service for the meals previously served at dining centers. An update will be shared as soon as it is available.

If you can, please send a caregiver, friend or family member under age 65 to pick up your meals, as the Governor’s Office has asked those ages 65+ to isolate themselves at home to prevent coronavirus exposure.

If you do not have someone to send, please call 213-482-7252 or call the center you normally visit for assistance. You can also use this map of places to get meals, which show the service plans for each site:

Parking enforcement is now limited
Los Angeles is lifting ticketing on street sweeping on residential streets and making other changes to parking enforcement to help everyone during this difficult time. But enforcement will continue at metered spaces, to help businesses and restaurants relying on takeout and deliveries.

This is effective immediately (March 16, 2020) in the City of Los Angeles. See the full story in the Mayor’s press release:
