Dear RSPA Northshore Families: 

We are writing to notify you that (2) individuals who were last on RSPA's Northshore Campus on Tuesday, February 6th, and Wednesday, February 7th, have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Your child was not in close contact unless you were individually notified.

Allow us to reassure you that RSPA follows guidance from the Texas Education Agency in the event of positive cases:

Areas heavily used by individuals infected with COVID-19 are sanitized. Individuals with positive COVID-19 test results will remain off campus until the following re-entry criteria have been met...

• must self-isolate for five days.
• must have no sign of fever without fever-reducing medication for at least 24 hours since recovery, and symptoms have resolved after five days. 
• must continue to wear a mask around others for five additional days.

RSPA appreciates everyone’s help in providing the best educational environment through these proactive measures:

• Daily self-screening for symptoms prior to coming onto campus.
• Emailing covidresponse@rhodesschool.org if you, your scholar, or someone you’ve been in close proximity to tests positive or experiences symptoms of COVID-19. Please be sure to include your scholar’s name, grade, teacher, documentation of the positive test result, and whether or not your scholar is well enough to complete work from home.
• Practice physical distancing.
• Practice excellent hand hygiene.
• Strongly encourage the use of face coverings.
