PRINCIPAL CORNER
May 9
As we approach the end of the school year, students and staff alike are looking forward to a fun summer break! This year has really flown by!
Congratulations to all student participants in our school production of “Willy Wonka Junior!” The performance was phenomenal; I was truly blown away! A big thank you to all parent volunteers that worked tirelessly to ensure the play was a success this year!
Even though we are approaching the end of the school year, students do still need to be in the proper school uniform! Please reference the “Uniform Fast Facts” flyer to review important dress code information. The dress code can also be found in the Family Handbook on pages 34-37.
To keep student skills sharp this summer, Language Arts and Math practice has been prepared by each teacher! All summer assignments will be sent home in a yellow folder labeled “Summer Work” on Thursday, May 16th. These assignments are meant to be a spiral review of important concepts covered this school year that will help each student transition well into their next grade level. Summer assignments will be due to school no later than Tuesday, September 3rd.
We had many exciting opportunities this week:
- Our teaching staff was honored during the annual “Teacher Appreciation Week!” Thank you to PTO for their continued support.
- Our plant sale pickup was led by the PTO!
- Students in grades K, 2-3, and 6-8 will attend field trips to the zoo and Dearborn, Michigan tomorrow!
Next week, we can look forward to:
- 8th graders will visit Cilantro restaurant as a part of their Spanish class!
- We will have our last early dismissal day with a Hawaiian dress-down on Wednesday, May 15th (1:00pm)
- We will gather in our Faith Families for the last time this school year!
- Our second-graders will receive the sacrament of their First Holy Communion!
Looking toward the 24/25 school year- we have Cafeteria/Recess positions open. These are paid positions. Please conatct Mrs. Elwer for more details.
Enjoy your weekend!
