It is hard to believe we are wrapping up February with the home stretch before Spring Break!

The end of Spring Break will be marked by a total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th! To help students enjoy this once in a lifetime scientific experience, eclipse glasses have been purchased for all students and will be sent home before Spring Break! I encourage you to check out the many events offered by the Great Lakes Science Center and Cleveland Metroparks to share in the experience with your kiddos! A reminder that school will resume on Tuesday, April 9th due to the eclipse.

Our Easter candy fundraiser is continuing this week; I encourage you to reference the flyer below for more information! This fundraiser is a great way to support COS while preparing for the Easter holiday!

The Sabre Scoop newspaper staff met to plan for the remainder of the school year!
We gathered as Faith Families to review the three pillars of Lent.
Grades 7 and 8 finished the “Life Unleashed” workshop series by Jonathan Schulz!

Spring Conferences- March 4-8

As we approach the middle of the school year, it's time for us to come together for spring parent-teacher conferences. These conferences provide an excellent opportunity for us to discuss your child's progress, address any concerns, and collaborate on ways to support their academic and personal growth.

This spring, we are offering multiple time options for parent-teacher conferences to accommodate your busy schedules.

Your student is bringing home a conference form today. This form indicates if the spring conference is mandatory for your student.

Please indicate your preferred time slot by filling out the attached form and returning it to your child's teacher by February 29, 2024. Your confirmed date and time will be emailed/texted to you.

EDCHOICE-EDCHOICE EXPANSION-

CLEVELAND SCHOLARSHIP RENEWAL INFORMATION

As of Feb. 1, 2024, the application window for Traditional EdChoice and EdChoice Expansion is currently open for the 2024-2025 school year through June 30th, 2025. This includes both new applicants and renewals. Students who currently receive the EdChoice Trad, EdChoice Expansion, or Cleveland Scholarship must renew it every year!

The following documents must be returned to the school office for renewal:

2. Copy of current utility bill (less than 90 days old)

There is no need to re-submit Income Verification unless you would like to appeal the amount the Ohio Department of Education originally awarded you. If you wish to do so, please login to your OH/ID account and complete the income verification process for Fiscal Year 2025. To maximize your award, please use your 2023 Federal Income Tax Return.

Join Us for Lenten Fish Frys!- TOMORROW- Feb. 23.

Dine-in and Carry-out

Fish Frys are back for 2024! This year will offer both dine-in and carry-out options for Lenten fish dinners. Four adult dinner options are available – baked Cod or fried Walleye with french fries or pierogis ($15 per dinner) and a child dinner option with fish sticks ($5 per). Dinner comes with coleslaw, dessert, and tea/lemonade/coffee.

Fish Frys will be held in Walsh Hall at Communion of Saints Parish at 2175 Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights. On the fry dates, we will serve meals from 4:30-7:00pm. A beer garden is available as well as a basket raffle.
