Current, Past, and Future RMVR Racers -
Based on the feedback from the Invitational running in 2023, the RMVR Fast Formula and Sports Racer Invitational run group will continue for the 2024 season.
Background: Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing (RMVR) recognizes there is an abundance of interesting, older formula and sports racer cars that are too new for logbooks from many Vintage clubs (including RMVR), yet no longer competitive in modern racing. For the 2023 season, RMVR invites these formula and sports racer cars and drivers to come race with us!
RMVR will continue its invitational run group called "Fast Formula & SR Cars". The decision has been made by the RMVR Board of Directors to offer dedicated Grid and race sessions for these cars, rather than combining them with existing established grids for the FV and FF/CF cars. RMVR has committed to having these sessions at our 2024 events, two at High Plains Raceway and two at Pueblo Motorsports Park.
This additional run group will be anchored by our existing eligible RMVR vintage cars - FB, FSV, SRs, F2, F5000. Invited cars include post ’81 Formula Fords (Kent and Fit powered), FC/F2000 (Pinto powered), S2000 (Pinto powered), water cooled VW FSV, Formula Mazda, and SCCA FX/FC/FE/FE2/ESR eligible cars.
Invitational Formula or Sports Racers must have a current logbook and annual inspection.
Cars not invited to this group nor running with RMVR in general are: Ford Zetec and Ecotec powered cars, SRF2/SRF3, and current composite F2/F3/F4/FPM cars.
RMVR looks forward to bringing additional excitement to both drivers and spectators alike by offering availability of these invitational grids at our events. If you are aware of other cars and drivers that might be interested, please forward this information to them.
