Youth Services and Tot Shabbat

Tot Shabbat Resumes This Week on Saturday, August 31. Join Vivian Gibilisco, a Jewish educator and song leader, for our Tot Shabbat program for children five and under. Held on August 3, 10, and 31 at 9:30 AM.

Hebrew School Registration Now Open - Classes Start in September. Enroll now in the Community Hebrew School of Bergen County, which serves students from Pre-K through seventh grade. For more information contact Marcia Kagedan at edudirector@chsbc.org.

Monday, September 23 at 8:00 PM - Movie Discussion about "Oppenheimer" In-Person and on Zoom. The Adult Education Committee invites you to the first film discussion of the year, with a program about the acclaimed 2023 film "Oppenheimer." Watch on Prime Video before attending.

Saturday, September 28 at 8:00 PM - Selichot Service and Program. Join us to hear the sounds of the season and to welcome Rabbi Siegel to the congregation. Program starts at 8:00 PM.

Monday, October 7 at 7:00-8:30 PM - Community Commemoration. (Location provided in October) CBS/FLJC is joining with the other synagogues and Jewish organizations in our area for a community commemoration of the October 7th attack on Israel. Advance registration required. Click to Register.

In order to help the synagogue office, we are requesting that all events, publicity, date reservations (whether in-person or on Zoom) be mailed to info@fljc.com as soon as possible. Flyers should be on PowerPoint (if possible) and also sent in both jpeg and pdf versions.

 

For rental/in-house events: please fill out a Room Reservation Form at least two weeks before the scheduled date and email it to info@fljc.com(In order to manage scheduling and arrange spaces, it is important that the office and custodial staff have a schedule of upcoming events with room requirements.)

Synagogue Skills Learning Institute - Mentors Available!

Have you ever wanted to learn to read Torah or read Hebrew? To enrich your experience at Congregation B'nai Sholom/Fair Lawn Jewish Center, instruction is available for Torah Reading lessons; Haftarah chanting; How to daven various services. Free and open to our members. To register, email Ellen Wertheim.
