Reminder: Submit Your Budget Member Feedback

RA staff are actively planning for next year’s budget cycle, and we’re looking for your input as we shape priorities and plans for the upcoming fiscal year. Whether you have ideas for enhancing existing services or introducing new ones, we want to hear from you. All suggestions will be thoughtfully reviewed by the Board of Directors, taking into consideration the financial resources available. Your input will help us prioritize potential additions or improvements for inclusion in the forthcoming budget, set to be finalized in the fall of 2024.

Simply fill out an online form with your ideas, including their intended location, purpose, and estimated costs or cost savings. Once completed, you can submit the form via email to RABudget@reston.org or by mail to Reston Association, ATTN: RA Budget Suggestions, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20191. Suggestions will be accepted until Monday, July 1st.

Join the Fairfax County Zero Waste Focus Group

You're invited to participate in a focus group aimed at gathering perceptions, challenges, and motivations related to Fairfax County's waste management system. This session presents an opportunity for your Homeowners Association to shape future initiatives that affect our neighborhoods.

Purpose: The purpose of the focus group is to gather feedback and opinions on zero-waste, recycling, food scrap composting, and other related sustainable material management topics. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors adopted the Zero Waste Plan in November 2021, and the County is now in the process of drafting actionable strategies to achieve its zero-waste goals. Feedback from this session will help the county refine its strategies for the zero-waste plan.

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Format: Group discussion (to be held in person or virtually based on respondent preferences)
