Synod Assembly Information

Late Registration Deadline: May 21

You can still register for Synod Assembly with a late fee until May 21!

This year's Synod Assembly will be on June 1-2 at the Holiday Inn in Fargo. We will gather under the theme "CHALLENGE: Learn, Discern, Respond." You can find more details about Synod Assembly and the link to register on our website.

In town for Synod Assembly? On Friday, May 31, come to a pre-assembly event sponsored by the Eastern ND ELCA Advocacy and Action Team's Immigration Group! Learn about the difference between immigrants, migrants, and refugees; organizations that help these individuals, and how you might be able to help them. All are welcome, even if you are not attending Synod Assembly.

ELCA Foundation Staff Transition

We give thanks for the work of Rev. Keith Pearson as our regional representative for the ELCA Foundation! Pastor Keith has accepted a new call and concluded his time with the ELCA Foundation on May 10.

Your congregation may have received an email from the ELCA with a Pulse Survey. You are encouraged to fill this out, as it provides helpful information on the pulse of ministry across the ELCA. Applications for ELCA World Hunger’s 2025 Domestic Hunger Grants are open! To learn more about submitting a Letter of Inquiry (LOI), grant partnership eligibility, and granting priorities, please visit the Domestic Hunger Grants website.

The Parish Nurse Ministry Program of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN will be offering the Foundations of Faith Community Nursing course June 3-7, 2024. The course will be held at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND. This will be a full week of in-person learning activities as we do not offer a distance learning option. The program is open to licensed registered nurses who are interested in starting a health and healing ministry within a faith community or desiring personal/professional growth in caring for others.
