July 2024

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INCREDIBLE SUPPORT

We set a goal of raising $200,000, so we could finish fundraising our 199th affordable home and raise funds to construct our 200th home.

A large anonymous donation put us over the top in addition to 300 other donations, including 40 NEW donors!

We are excited to begin construction of the 200th home this fall. You can stay up-to-date on the latest news by bookmarking our 200 for 200 page:

Women Build Bunco Blitz

Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 14th! Women Build is thrilled to announce that Bunco Blitz will be returning in 2024. As always, there will be delicious food, prizes, auctions, and BUNCO.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 for Habitat McLean Country Women Build. All proceeds from this event will benefit Women Build and be used to build our next home in McLean County.

If you or someone you know is interested in sponsoring the event and/or donating in-kind items (products, gift certificates, services, etc.) for prizes and silent auctions, please reach out to us via email (info@habitatmclean.org) or phone (309-827-3931).

ALUMINUM RECYCLING

We are thrilled to announce that we will be partnering with Novelis from Earth Day through the end of October to collect aluminum cans for recycling!

Though we are always proud to recycle, this partnership will provide us the opportunity to earn a grant, which will be used to build affordable housing.

Please bring your cans to 1402 W. Washington St. and help make a difference in our community!

CARS FOR HOMES

Do you have a vehicle you no longer use? Turn it into affordable housing for local families.

Donating a car is quick and easy and almost any vehicle is accepted (car, truck, motorcycle, RV, even construction or farm equipment) - running or not! There's a simple online form, or you can get questions answered at 1-877-277-4344.

Although your vehicle donation is processed through Habitat for Humanity International, we receive the proceeds to build homes locally. Your donation may be eligible for a tax deduction.
