March 2024

Chief's Welcome

To continue our community engagement efforts for the spring and summer, please consider signing up for our upcoming Public Safety Academy, Teen Traffic Safety class, and our Civilian Response to Active Shooter presentation hosted at City Hall.

Our 13-week Public Safety Academy will give our residents a view into not only your Police Department but the Fire Department as well. The Teen Traffic Safety course will give our new young drivers the knowledge of what to do if stopped by an officer and what to do if involved in a vehicle accident to make certain other experienced drivers do not try and take advantage of them.

Additionally, our Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course will give residents the survival tools, skills, and insight needed to protect yourself and others in a critical emergency situation because what you do matters!

We hope these informative learning and engagement events will continue to increase opportunities for our department to be transparent, build trusting relationships, and partnerships with the very supportive community we serve each day.

Respectfully,

~ Chief Mark Mitchell

Chief of Police

JCPD plays soccer with North Fulton United

Members of the Johns Creek Police Department participated in some soccer fun at Newtown Park to help NFU Soccer kick off the start of their soccer season earlier this month.

The JCPD and the City have long been supporters of North Fulton United FC, a free soccer league for individuals with special abilities ages 9 and older. North Fulton United FC aims to enrich the lives of special abilities individuals by providing camaraderie, inclusion, and fun in a positive environment while learning to play soccer. It was a perfect afternoon for soccer and a meaningful opportunity to connect with the families and players of the NFU soccer community.
