Effective March 1, 2022, Covenant Presbyterian Church will resume in-person worship. Masks will be required regardless of the Dane County rules, with N95 and KN95 masks recommended. Social distancing will also be recommended and half of the sanctuary will continue to provide distanced seating for worship. Virtual worship will continue to be provided on YouTube.
On Sunday at noon, we have a congregational meeting for the purpose of dissolving the pastoral relationship between Covenant and Jeff Fox-Kline, our Associate Pastor for the past five years. The Personnel Committee, the Session, the Committee on Ministry of John Knox Presbytery, and Jeff have come to this mutual decision. (See section G-2.09 of The Book of Order, our constitution.)
I’m thankful for the good ministry that Jeff has done at Covenant, and I wish him all the best in the future. If you’d like to wish him well, you could send a note to the church or come to the drive-thru farewell gathering on Monday from 4:00-6:00pm. (More info at the link preceding or scroll down.)
As we move through this transition, I encourage you to pray for Jeff and his family and for your Covenant family, as we all seek to continue growing in God’s love. And remember the hope of our faith—God is with us always.

Lenten Devotional
I AM: The Book of John

We have asked, and we have received! Thank you to all who participated in this congregational devotional for Lent. 40 days of devotionals written by YOU, our church body, on the gospel of John. Copies of this devotional will be available starting in March either in the gathering space or office. We will also have an option for you to subscribe to receive daily emails beginning Ash Wednesday with the devotional of the day. If you are interested in this, email Communications Coordinator Derek Handley at
Starting the week of March 6, we will offer small groups at various days and times throughout the week. For six weeks in Lent, your group will meet to discuss the scripture passage from worship to accompany our sermon series "Let's Talk About Jesus". You are not required to be at all six gatherings, but the hope is that you will come to as many as you are able. Most groups meet over Zoom, but meetings could potentially take place outside or indoors (masked and socially distanced). Sign up HERE or contact Charlie Berthoud if you have any questions.
What a success! A huge thanks to all of you who donated blood on Thursday, February 17th here at church. The Red Cross collected 44 units of blood – A RECORD since we started our blood drives in August of 2019. Blood is truly the gift of life for those who need it. Know that someone has had great benefit from your gift!
