CNY Fair Housing Conference 2017: CNYWBA Sponsoring Workshop on Women and Fair Housing

The 2017 CNY Fair Housing Conference will be held November 2, 2017 from 8:30am-1:30pm at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. The CNYWBA is proud to announce that we are sponsoring the workshop on Fair Housing Rights for Women: Domestic Violence and Sexual Harassment.

WBASNY Board of Directors Meeting

Our entire membership is welcome to come and participate!

10:00 am -  3:00 pm
Syracuse University Law School

We do not have a final agenda available at this time, but we expect that committee meetings will take place between 10-12pm, and then a meeting of the Board of Directors (executive committee, WBASNY officers, and delegates from all the chapters PLUS any other interested members) from 1-3 after lunch from 12-1. Please join us for a meeting of a substantive committee in your practice area, or to participate in discussions about long range planning for WBASNY, or sign up to help plan Convention in May 2018 in Cooperstown, NY. Take part in discussions about the future of our organization, network with practitioners from around the state, and learn where your membership dues go. We hope to see you there!

Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Volunteer Opportunity
CNYWBA Members are invited to serve as volunteer judges for the annual Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Competition at the  50th Annual Regional Convention of the  Northeast Black Law Student Association (NEBLSA). The competition will take place in Albany, NY and is set to begin on Thursday, January 25th and end on Saturday, January 27th.

The New York State Office of the Attorney General is seeking an experienced prosecutor for the  Public Integrity Bureau (PIB) in New York City.  PIB Investigates and prosecutes crimes committed by public employees, elected officials, candidates for public office, and people and entities that steal from the government.  Prosecutors with PIB handle complex, long term investigations into government corruption, fraud and abuse of authority.  PIB investigates and prosecutes both civilly and criminally, from the initial allegation through to settlement, plea or trial.
