The American Red Cross is offering a series of virtual volunteer fairs for you to learn about urgent volunteer opportunities this season. These sessions are intended for existing Red Cross volunteers AND the general public who are interested in learning more about the many ways of serving with the Red Cross. These needs include local disaster responders, blood drive volunteers, department and administrative support among others. We are offering two sessions. First on Tuesday, November 2nd from 5-6 p.m. and the second session on Wednesday, November 3rd from 12-1pm. ICYMI -- Survey responses shed light on impact of COVID-19 on nonprofit volunteer base in Maine: The responses to the survey, conducted by the Data Innovation Project on behalf of Volunteer Maine, reveal "that COVID-19 volunteering at (the responding agencies) organization’s decreased and some opportunities were severely limited."
