To: Users of GPA's Marine Terminal Operator Schedule ("MTOS") No 5-A, No. 10-A and No. 11
Effective July 1, 2021, the Georgia Ports Authority will implement the following changes to the MTOS:
No. 5-A Rule 34-520 – Container Yard Services (New Charge)
Hazard Class Terminal Use Fee for containers assigned to one of nine hazard classes as defined in 49 CFR 172.101 and 173 = $75 per container
Note: Exception to the subject fee is Class 1.1 (Mass Explosive Hazard, Class 1.2 – Projection Hazard) and Class 7 (Radioactive Materials)
- Hazard Class Surcharge applied to Class 1.1 – Mass Explosive Hazard, Class 1.2 – Projection Hazard and Class 7 (Radioactive Materials) = $1,000 per container
No. 5-A Rule 34-521 – Container Yard Services (Rate Increase)
- U.S. Coast Guard Regulated Cargo when escorted by Port Police from $375 to $500 per container
