Aerospace company "L3Harris" employs 6,500 people at their plant in Greenville. That's roughly one-sixth the population of the city.

Waffle House coming to Greenville, Texas

Waffle House will soon be giving the Hunt County and surrounding areas a new breakfast spot! The popular breakfast and late-night diner will be located next to Popeye’s and Panda Express on the eastbound I-30 service road, the chain hopes to open to diners in 2024.


Waffle House is just one of a few new dining options expected to open in Greenville, Texas in 2024, including Texas Roadhouse and Don Toro Mexican restaurant.

Texas Roadhouse brings 225 new jobs to Greenville

Texas Roadhouse is hanging out the help wanted sign as the company readies for an early 2024 opening in Greenville that officials say is expected to bring 225 new jobs to the city.


Construction began in 2023 and the 8,000-square-foot restaurant located at 3800 Interstate 30 and the restaurant is scheduled to open in mid-January with dining and to-go options. The company is currently hiring for all full- and part-time positions.

Greenville to add new conference center and hotel as part of Greenbelt development

Greenville is to be home to a new conference center and hotel project as part of The Greenbelt development.


“I think this will truly be transformative for our community,” said Mayor Jerry Ransom.


The Greenville City Council voted to include an amendment of The Greenbelt into the city’s Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1.
