China CIQ has started compulsory inspections on hazardous chemicals substances imported since 01 Feb 2012
 
China's entry-exit inspection and quarantine administrations (CIQ) has started compulsory inspections on over 160 hazardous chemicals substances exported to China and their packages from 1st Feb 2012.

On 17 Feb 2012, Chinese Ministry of Environment Protection (MEP) has published new statistics regarding the scientific research record for new chemical substances. This disclosure was made according to the article 22 of the Provisions on Environmental Administration of New Chemical Substances in China

 

China SFDA publishes draft guidelines for the  

 

registration and evaluation regarding cosmetics 

 

for children

 

15 Feb 2012, China SFDA (State Food and Drug Administration)  has launched draft guidelines for the registration and evaluation of cosmetics for children in China. The deadline for public comments is 29 Feb 2012. The Guidelines have outlined the main factors to consider during the evaluation and approval of new cosmetics for children under 12 years old (including babies).

 

China SFDA consults on re-classification of   

 

cosmetics and adjustment of registration  

 

requirements.

 

On 17 February 2012, the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) has issued a notice No. 57-2012 inviting public comments on the latest draft administrative measures for non-special use cosmetics. The draft measures have changed how cosmetics shall be categorized in China dramatically and adjusted registration requirements for different types of cosmetics.
