Dear CHT Member,

Over the next few months you will see groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings for nearly 200 new homes and apartments as well as improvements to facilities that are supporting people who are homeless.

I am proud of these milestones which are possible through the support of a range of partners. CHT is a member of several national organizations that advance affordable housing and related programs. One of the most important of these is NeighborWorks®America and each year we celebrate NeighborWorks Week and our efforts to empower communities.

In addition to recognizing Pride Month in June, CHT is a sponsor of and will be tabling at Burlington’s Juneteenth Celebration on June 15th. Juneteenth is a national holiday that has also been referred to as Freedom Day that marks the end of slavery and honors Black American history and contributions to our nation. Come join this important day of activities!

Last – but not least! – don’t forget to sign up for our Members’ Day Picnic at North Beach on Aug 17th. We’ll be celebrating our 40th anniversary year and it’s always fun to get together.

Renovations at Champlain Place, a low-barrier shelter in Burlington for those experiencing homelessness, are in full swing! This project is a partnership between Champlain Housing Trust and Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity. Champlain Place will accommodate up to 36 guests.
