values diversity of belief. Whether you are full of faith or full of doubt
you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers and enjoy life within our community of faith. All are welcome!

Thank You!
Dear Friends,

Words are inadequate to describe my thanks for your thoughtfulness and generosity upon my retirement as your Director of Music. Your kind notes and gifts were so humbling. The luncheon was wonderful ... down to my onion-less broccoli salad and Baby Yoda balloon! The monogrammed Wesley Study Bible will be an inspiration in my devotional study time. CHPC has a special place in my heart as one of the great blessings in my life. Much obliged, Lord, for Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church!

With love,
Carlene Eastridge

Current Covid Protocols
Out of an abundance of caution and a shared desire to love others as Christ calls us to do, the following church ministries have been adjusted by the Session until October 1. This includes all individuals masking while on campus and certain programs going outside or online. You may read the guidelines in detail here. Thank you for your willingness to love thy neighbor in these ways as we seek to faithfully serve in Christ's name.

Special Offering- Presbytery Pastoral Care Fund
A special offering for the Pastoral Care Fund of Holston Presbytery will be collected this Sunday as part of David's Installation Service. This special fund is available to offer care and support to minister members and staff of the presbytery in times of need. Thank you for the care you offer to all who serve Holston Presbytery and the many congregations that make up this greater family of faith.

Youth Group
Youth Group continues this coming Sunday, September 26, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, under the pavilion. The midweek Bible study continues each Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 pm as well. Dinner will be provided at both events.

Interim Youth Leader
CHPC is looking for an Interim Youth Leader to serve our youth throughout the school year. This position will be responsible for leading youth ministry activities including Sunday Night Youth Group, Special Youth Events, and a Youth Bible Study on Wednesday evenings. To apply click here.

Peach and Global Witness Offering
On World Communion Sunday, next Sunday, October 3, we celebrate that Christ’s peace extends throughout all creation. We celebrate that we are all together at the table, in God’s house.
Peace is active, not passive. Peace is doing, not waiting. We celebrate that we are offered what we need to continue the work of building the household of God with active peacemakers here at home and around the world.
As a shared offering, your gifts on World Communion Sunday to the Peace & Global Witness Offering support peacemaking in your own community, your own region and places around the world. Thank you for your generosity; for when we all do a little, it adds up to a lot.
Habitat for Humanity
Our Habitat house is underway. Footers were poured last week! There are several ways you can support Habitat - with prayers, financial gifts or by volunteering! We have raised just over $3,200 so far in support of our $5,000 goal. Thank you for supporting this important ministry!

CHPC is scheduled to work week 2 on October 14, 15 and 16 and will need 5 volunteers each day.  If you would like to volunteer, here’s how to signup: Register here using the password holston or by contacting the church office which has specific instructions. If you have questions or issues signing up online, you can contact Mandy Penz at Holston Habitat at volunteer@holstonhabitat.org or 423-239-7689, ext. 801. Please pray for our Habitat team and volunteers as they plan and organize this important effort!
