Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church is a congregation that values a diversity of belief. Whether you're full of faith or full of doubt, you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers and enjoy life within this community of faith. All are welcome!
Can We Build It?
Yes we can, because it's our turn to participate in this year's Annual Faith build with Habitat for Humanity! CHPC volunteers are working on the Habitat house this Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thank you to all who are supporting and have supported this important ministry! Please continue to pray for those helping to build this house for Marquetta and her family.

"Michal lets David escape from the window"
by Gustave Doré, (1832-1883)

Last week, we studied the friendship of David and Jonathan to see how God's love is present within the gift of friendship, or "Philia". This week, we look to the relationship between David and Michal to see how God's love is reflected within the love, or "Eros", of their marriage.
All are welcome to keep the conversation going after worship within Sunday school! The Remnant class discusses the passages from worship each week after service in room 221. Contact David directly to learn how you can get involved in this class or any other discipleship opportunity!
Montreat Youth Conference
The Youth Group leaves this Sunday afternoon to go to Montreat, North Carolina to attend the Montreat Youth Conference. They will be with other Presbyterian students from all over the country; spending the week worshipping, praying, learning, and growing together. This year's theme is "In Joy".

This week should truly be a monumental experience for our youth, and in worship this Sunday, we will be praying over our students and chaperones, commissioning them as they embark on this trip. We invite you to please keep these young people in your prayers, as they experience this great opportunity. Pray for safety, good weather, open hearts and minds, and for the Holy Spirit to be with them throughout the week.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is almost here! CHPC partners again with our friends from Colonial Heights United Methodist Church for a joint VBS from July 9-11. All pre-K through fifth grade children are welcome to come to CHPC and enjoy a time of fun and fellowship together from 6-8pm each night. We explore the ways we are called by Jesus to be bringers of peace in our community and in the world! To register a participant, click here.

Additionally, we will hold a special celebration and worship service on Wednesday July 12th at 6pm. This is an evening where friends and family can come together at the table to practice the peace that we preach. Please note: children will be sitting with their families throughout Wednesday's worship.

Volunteers are needed to help make this meaningful ministry happen. To register as a volunteer, click here. A special lunch and learn will be held on Sunday, June 25 at 12:30 in the gym for all volunteers to learn more about their roles. Please contact Tyler with any questions.
CHPC Fellowship Meals
This Sunday we kicked off Summer with a shared meal after worship! Special thanks to our Congregational Family Life committee for cooking and putting everything together. And thanks to everybody who stayed, ate, and enjoyed good conversation. God continues to bless our wonderful church family with good people!
