Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church is a congregation that
values a diversity of belief. Whether you're full of faith or full of doubt,
you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers and enjoy life within this community of faith. All are welcome!

An Intentional Time of Prayer for Lent

Mark your calendars for an intentional time of prayer offered during the Season of Lent. This lay-led gathering will happen each Wednesday evening in the Parlor from 6:30 to 7:00pm. Come and connect with a small group of individuals in various prayer practices that may enrich your own spiritual life. Want to know more? Contact Donna Whitson or David Randolph to learn more. All are welcome!

Thank You for Supporting Scouting!

It was so special to celebrate our Scouts this past Sunday in worship! Troop 48 brings so much joy to our church family's life and we are grateful for the ways they serve so many others throughout our community. Big thanks to all those who supported the troop in this year's can food drive for Second Harvest and the CHPC Blessing Box as a part of their continuous campfire. It was also very meaningful to welcome back home on Saturday so many Scouts, past and present, to honor the life of longtime Scout Master Charles Hasbrouck. Thank you for faithfully sharing the gifts of Scouting that so many have learned from his example.

Want to see more pictures from this weekend's scouting activities? Check out the troop's Facebook page here. If you know of anyone who wishes to participate in this vibrant ministry, contact any leader of Troop 48 or David in the office.

Upcoming Lenten Gatherings and Events!

As the season of Lent begins next week, CHPC prepares to walk with Christ towards the cross on Easter with a few upcoming opportunities for worship, fellowship, and study. Things kick off on Shrove Tuesday (or Fat Tuesday depending on your geography) as we enjoy a Pancake Party! Dinner will be served at 5:30pm in the gym. Special thanks to our Men's Fellowship ministry for manning the kitchen!

The following day, we hold our annual Ash Wednesday Service in the Sanctuary at 6pm. Be sure to invite a friend to one or both of these meaningful gatherings!

Mark your calendars for a special intergenerational Bible study during Lent! From Sunday, February 25 through Sunday, March 17, CHPC will be hosting a congregational supper and bible study about the book of Jonah. All are welcome to study the four chapters of this epic story over four weeks from

5 to 6:30pm. Children will participate in a special music and bible study program as well. Contact David for more details!

Volunteer Spotlight: Nursery Workers

Service is a central part of the communal life of faith at CHPC. It takes a village of volunteers to help make the various ministries of our church family happen week in and week out. If you are already volunteering in a meaningful way, THANK YOU!!! If you are looking for a new way to serve, check out how below as we share various opportunities throughout February.

This week, we want to highlight serving in the nursery alongside Reece Logan, our new nursery worker. Reece joined the CHPC team back in December and has done a great job caring for our littlest presbyterians downstairs during worship.

If you are willing to volunteer alongside Reece at various times throughout the year, please contact Tyler by email. Thank you for prayerfully considering where God is calling you to serve!
