Nominations Process @ CHPC
|
|
The 2021 Officer Nominating Committee (ONC) is authorized by the Session to accept suggestions from church members to serve as Elders for the class of 2024, Trustees for the class of 2024, and members of the 2022 Officer Nominating Committee.
From the names you suggest, and dependent upon the work of the Holy Spirit, the ONC will move a slate of five individuals for your approval as Elders, two individuals as Trustees, as well as three individuals to serve on next year’s ONC. In accordance with the Book of Order, a congregational meeting to elect officers has been called by the Session after worship on Sunday, November 21. The deadline for returning your suggestions is Monday, November 1. You may offer your submissions by completing a nomination form and returning it to the church office or emailing it to Jan directly.

Updated Covid Protocols
Out of an abundance of caution and a shared desire to love others as Christ calls us to do, the following church ministries have been adjusted by the Session at its regular meeting on October 18. It includes all individuals masking while on campus. You may read the guidelines in detail here. Thank you for your willingness to love thy neighbor in these ways as we seek to faithfully serve in Christ's name.

Join us Saturday, October 30, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, for this year's Trunk-or-Treat! This is a community event complete with food and lots of treats in trunks. To be sure we have plenty to go around, baskets have been set up in the Narthex for the congregation to begin offering candy contributions. Please make sure all candy is individually wrapped and does not contain any peanut or peanut products.
Only four volunteers have signed up to decorate a trunk and we could use extra help! Please contact the church office to sign up. We would appreciate as many trunks as possible to help make this a wonderful event! Thank you in advance for your help!
