Colorado Gives Day 2023
Save the date! CHLT is excited to announce Colorado Gives Day is set for Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

For 24 hours, Colorado comes together to raise funds for local nonprofits, and we’re excited to be part of the day! On Colorado Gives Day, we’ll be celebrating our accomplishments and making good happen for our open spaces across Grand County. We invite you to join us by helping us share the news about ColoradoGives Day and invite your family, friends and your personal network to participate.

Every gift is tax-deductible and helps us reach our goal of $325,000 to support our mission and The Granby Highlands Trails Conservation Easement project. There will be an an option to direct your donation to the project or to support our general funds and operations.
The Granby Highlands Trails Conservation Easement will permanently conserve:

  • approximately 780 acres of vital wildlife habitat and scenic and recreational open space

  • 2 miles of Colorado River

  • 10 miles of proposed trails

...and all just 2 miles from downtown Granby!

The property is located north of the intersection of US-40 and US-34, in the Town of Granby. The property is visible for nearly all motorists who pass through Grand County. Approximately 480 acres will be seasonal public open space. The remaining 300 acres will be preserved year-round for wildlife habitat, without recreational access.

Support for this project includes Grand County's Open Lands, Rivers, and Trails Fund and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
Help us achieve this easement and make a lasting impact on Grand County's open spaces! With your support, Colorado Headwaters Land Trust can protect this vital parcel of land.
