Clean energy becoming a prominent issue on chamber policy agendas


What does clean energy leadership for chambers of commerce and economic development agencies look like in 2024?


A decade ago, CICE released our Chambers as Change Agents report, profiling ten chambers that recognized the emerging clean energy boom and led their regions through innovative programs, initiatives, and partnerships. As the chamber role in the clean energy economy has grown, so has the scope of that involvement. In the years since that report, chambers are increasingly adding clean energy to their policy and legislative agendas.

Brooklyn Chamber hosts 3rd energy summit


This week, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce (NY) hosted its 3rd Annual Energy Summit & Expo, featuring a lineup of keynote speakers, panelists, and sponsors convening to examine "current trends in renewable energy and tech and present a road map and strategies for businesses large and small."


The chamber started the summit in 2022, which was profiled by CICE for its Chambers in Action series.
