Oct 22: Jerusalem ~ The Holy Land Pilgrimage:

Mark your calendar! The Adult Forum on October 22, 2023 will be a presentation on our upcoming Pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The trip will be May 2-12, 2025.

October 22rd – Annual Apple Picking & Corn Maze Outing – Elwood Farms, Londonderry, NH – Make it a family day – all are invited. We are starting earlier this year with it being late in the month. Plan a family picnic near the pumpkin Patch, apple picking, hayride, corn maze – make a day of it.

Apple Picking - Everyone says the crop is smaller than usual this year but think of all the fun you can have cooking up some of your old family recipes or creating new ones. A few delicious treats - applesauce (ask for my recipe - so easy and good), apple pie, apple struddle, candies apples, apple waffles, apple pancakes, apple fritters, apple crisp, apple cobbler, apple cake, baked apples, apple cider, apple tart, etc. Yum Yum!

The Corn Maze at Elwood Orchard

·        Cost $12.00 / person – children under 5 are free

·        Bigger and more challenging – 15 acres! Don’t give away any secrets!

·        All youth, friends, family, parishioners are invited

·        Head into the Maze at 2pm. Pick up tickets in the barn by 1:45.

·        The permission form will be emailed for the Corn Maze. This is required for all events / trips off church property for the youth that are not being accompanied by a parent and under the age of 18.  A form will be attached to the youth email.  Contact Nancy Madiera with questions at youth@cgsnashua.org.

Please mark your calendars. The CGS/Saint Patrick parking lot will be unavailable starting Monday, October 30. The much needed redo of our parking lot will begin that Monday morning. Weather permitting the project will be completed and the lot reopened on Monday, November 6th.

Foyer Groups: What is this you ask? It's a chance to meet fellow parishioners and gather in fellowship a few times a year! Groups are set up with 6-8 people who then gather for a dinner out or at a member's home. Most groups had a rotation of hosts. This was a thriving fellowship activity before COVID and now it's time to bring it back, we even have a "Foyer Groups with Kids" option. Please check the Foyer Group box on your Time and Talent form or email me (Sue Corman) at radar3018@comcast.net to sign up or for more information.

Coffee Hour Signup

Support Fellowship in our community by volunteering to help out with coffee hour and donate food. Make coffee, set up beverage and snack tables to be ready by 9am. Cleanup is after the 10AM service at about 11:30, sign up for all or just a portion.

The 221st New Hampshire Diocesan Convention

is coming!

Ways to Follow Along with the Convention Business Meeting

  • The 221st Diocesan Convention Pre-Convention Journal contains resolutions, biographies of candidates for elected positions and the minutes from the 220th Annual Diocesan Convention and is available here.
  • If you don’t already know, find out who your church has elected as delegates to Convention. Delegates are your representatives who have voice and vote during Convention and usually report back to churches either during coffee hour or through a church newsletter. Canonical clergy also have voice and vote.

We encourage all congregants to tune into the Convention business meeting on November 3. If you do not have a direct role in the meeting, livestream the meeting using this link.
