Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention January Programming

Join the newly formed CGS STEPS committee (Support Through Education to Prevent Suicide) as they present a series of educational programming that will help you learn more about mental health, the ways that it effects our lives, and how we can help and be helped. We are not alone.

January 7: STEPS will be hosting Coffee Hour after both services. We will have a table with lots of information and resources as well as some conversation starters on mental health.

January 14: The Rev. Louise Howlett, LMFT, a mental health professional, Episcopal priest and Dean of Clergy for the NH Episcopal Church will join us to preach at both services. Julia Chester Emery Feast Day Celebration

Tuesday, January 9

7 p.m.

January 9 is the feast day of Julia Chester Emery, founder of the United Thank Offering, and this year we are celebrating the life and ministry of Miss Julia with Kristen Wheeler of Ministry of the Saints: Modern Iconography. Kristen created one of the Julia Chester Emery Icons (shown here) that has become beloved by UTO members. As part of her process of creating the icon, Kristen spent time researching, praying, and reflecting on the life and work of Julia Chester Emery. She’ll join us to share more about her process of creating the icon, the symbols found in it, and about her research into Miss Julia.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining"!
