Families,
As we approach the end of the school year, I just wanted to thank you for your partnership in making this school year an overwhelming success. We’ve seen such tremendous growth from our students this year, and I couldn’t be more proud of our school community in all of the hard work and dedication that has been given to our students this year.
Our final stretch is a busy one, with many field trips and events happening throughout our remaining days. Thank you for all the volunteers who supported our End-of-Year Extravaganza and those who sent in chalk and bubbles to support this event. Also, a special thank you to the PTO for their support of this event. Mr. Welch and Mr. Milinovich, along with our entire related arts team and teachers worked hard to make this day happen.
As a reminder, our last day of school on June 6th is a full day of school with normal arrival and dismissal times.
For students and families who are entering their last days at CGS and preparing for their move to Granite Ridge or new adventures, I truly hope your time at CGS was a special one with lasting memories. We are excited to celebrate and send off our 2nd grade students on the last of school this week.
On a personal note, I greatly appreciate the support from families throughout this year as I navigated my first year as Principal here at Cottage Grove School. This has been such a great year, and I couldn’t be more proud of all that was accomplished this school year. I look forward to continuing the work this summer as we prepare for next school year.
Thank you, and have a great summer!
Jesse Starr
