Technicool: Keeping Kids Safe on the Internet

There are risks to children in all types of digital environments, such as the internet, smartphones, apps, and gaming platforms. Participants in this training will have opportunities to collaborate and strategize ways to keep children and youth safe in digital environments. This training is for professionals who work with children, parents, and caregivers.

Join us as we learn about women who helped to map the stars, moon, and beyond. We will learn about the women who were the unsung heroes of the stars .  We will learn about Katherine Johnson and how she was instrumental in the moon landing

3 Week Program for Kindergarten-grade 4!
Have you ever read a comic book? The art in comic books is very unique. Come and join Ms. Gina and Ms. Karen while we take a look at all the wonderful ways pictures tell stories. We'll be making our own story and our own comic book. Each child will receive a packet of materials that parents will be responsible to pick up at a designated place. This is a 3 week series on ZOOM for school aged children! Week 1: Children will learn about storytelling and will learn how to put together a story. Week 2 will be about illustrations and Week 3 the children will present their comic book story. You must be willing to commit to the 3 weeks. March 16, 23, and 30th.

Quick FRUIT Kabobs: Kitchen "K"reations
Towards the end of each month we will be "k"reating some simple, seasonal snacks with your family. We will recall the seasons/months of the year through song and then get right to work in the kitchen!!! Afterwards we will hear a related Winter story.  Ingredients you will need to "k"reate with us during the video /or/ to do afterwards at a later time are listed below: banana, apple, strawberries, grapes (whatever kind of fruit you like), cheese, skewers, OJ and sweetened coconut!

Naptime Nuggets: A Time for Parents to Chat!

Join CFCE Specialist Marsha Wright and Leslie Reilly on Zoom for Naptime Nuggets, a weekly parent group for parents of young children. Get your child settled for a nap, grab a snack, and join us for an hour long chat. We will spend an hour chatting each week about ways to support your families continued development. The first few weeks we will chat about social emotional development.  Future topics will be determined by the group.  Each week we will follow up our chat with an email that contains strategies and resources that pertain to our discussion. Parents will have the opportunity each week to share their best strategies with each other. Best of all it is from the comfort of your own home! Space is limited so register today.

Toddler Town (February)

Yep! Just for the toddlers! Obviously parents must accompany their child to Toddler Town by either having them sit beside you or on your lap. We will be reading a story, doing some fun teacher directed activities, sing some songs and maybe even get up and move our bodies. This activity will follow the flow of the little ones. We all know how unpredictable they can be. This will be a great way to introduce your little ones into the world of Virtual Learning. When you come to our activity, please bring a scarf, napkin, or a piece of flowy material that the children can wave back and forth. 
Once you register for this activity Ms. Karen will send you an email with the info you need to join the ZOOM activity!

Join Ms. Marsha on Zoom on Friday's for this virtual playgroup. Each week we explore different themes with stories, videos and songs. Suggested craft projects are emailed to families on Wednesday to allow time to gather supplies. All crafts use materials you can find in your home. The children will have a chance to interact with Ms. Marsha and the other children during each group. There will be a craft period during which children can do their crafts along with Ms. Marsha.  This group will meet weekly until May 14th.  Please be sure to include your mailing address in case I need to mail special materials. 
Once you have registered you will receive a zoom link for the program.
