2024 UCaTS Call for D-PDTC Pilot Studies
The University of California and UT Southwestern Disparities PDX Development and Trial Center (UCaTS) comprised of UC Davis (lead), UCSF, UCI, UCLA, UCSD and UT Southwestern is accepting applications to contribute to the achievement of the UCaTS’ overall objectives of developing PDX trial strategies for preclinical testing of single agents and drug combinations, with a focus on the predominant racial/ethnic minority populations residing in California and Texas, namely, Hispanic/Latino Americans [HLAs], Asian Americans/Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders [AANHPIs], and African Americans [AAs]. The focus will be on gastric and lung cancers that disproportionately affect minority populations using FDA approved therapeutic agents. This call is for pilot study applications of budgets of up to $50,000 direct costs (plus F&A) with a Sept. 1, 2024 start date and that must be expended by Aug. 31, 2025. Experimental Tissue Shared Resource (ETR) Offers Custom Tissue Microarray and Brightfield Whole Slides Scanning
The ETR is excited to discuss your project’s study design and tissue needs. We can now create custom tissue microarrays (TMA) with tissue you provide or human tissue remnants and scan whole histology slides at 40X. Selection of optimal representative tissue regions can be performed by our pathologist.
We can provide histology support for special transcriptomics platforms supported by GTH Share Resource
