Please join the CFA Society Portland at the Coopers Hall on August 21st for a luncheon with Jamie Schulman, Co-Founder and Fund Manager of Meriwether Group Capital.

Commercial lending patterns are changing as banking standards and criteria evolve in a disruptive world. Private Credit that traditionally was secured through FDIC-insured banks is increasingly being funded elsewhere. As new lenders fill the void that banks have left, private credit, once considered a niche asset class, is evolving into a key component of a well-diversified portfolio. Jamie Shulman, Co-Founder and Fund Manager of Meriwether Group Capital will be sharing his views on the prospects and potential for private credit.

A banking veteran with more than 30 years of lending and management experience, Jamie brings an entrepreneur’s level of energy, engagement and creativity to Meriwether Group Capital. Jamie’s diverse experience in management, mentorship and strategic business planning for growing companies makes him an invaluable and trusted advisor, going far beyond the boundaries of traditional lending.

Jamie’s experience spans commercial banking, middle-market banking, retail banking and community banking with an emphasis on commercial and industrial and commercial real estate operations. Having spent 35 years in the Seattle and Portland markets, he offers a familiarity with the region that enhances Meriwether Group Capital’s understanding of the circumstances and hurdles of growing a business in the Pacific Northwest.
