  • May not have any face coverings (no masks or anything covering any part of the face)
  • Must not involve any portrayal of gore, blood, weapons, drugs, etc.

(no weapons of any kind)

Join us for Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas. Please contact Sofia Shappell with questions!

Off-Campus Privileges

CECFC High School has adopted a limited open-campus policy as a privilege for students. The policy permits students in good standing to leave school grounds for CEC-approved purposes, including classes off-campus and the time designated for lunch with parent opt-in permission. Good standing is defined as students who are in good academic, attendance, and behavioral standing based on the following criteria:

  •  GPA of 2.5 or higher (unweighted cumulative GPA - GPA is calculated at the end of each semester)
  • No more than one (1) failing grade during the semester
  • No more than three (3) unexcused absences or tardies in any course
  • No disciplinary issues noted in Infinite Campus
  • Failure to meet these criteria at any point in time may result in revocation of the 'Off Campus ID' privileges by an Advisor or Administrator.

To be approved for off-campus privileges, students can fill out an "Off Campus ID Privileges Form" which includes parent permission and submit it to their Advisor for final approval. Forms may be requested from the Front Desk.

We will be reviewing students at the end of first semester and making any necessary changes to student's off campus privilege status based on the Fall Semester.

Note: We will only be looking at Fall 2023 Semester GPA, attendance, and disciplinary issues to determine eligibility.

Recovery Day

The Next Recovery Day is scheduled for Friday, November 10th.

As we are halfway through the semester, there is no time to waste to get caught up! Recovery days are meant for students needing additional support to makeup assignments, retake assessments or get small group tutoring in a subject area for their high school classes.

They are required for students with 1 or more F's and available as an option to all other students. There is no school scheduled on recovery days, so tutors and some staff are available to specifically support students in the area of focus needed.

Interested in attending 11/10? Fill out this form to sign up!

Deadline to sign up is Monday 11/6

Student ID's and Safety Upgrades

As many of you know already, we take school safety very seriously. In the next few months, we will be making some changes to our building, such as a whole new surveillance system, Raptor scanning in and out of the building, and window filming all exterior windows.

In addition, ALL students, staff, and visitors must have their IDs visible at all times while they are present on our campus. Currently many of our students carry their school IDs on their backpacks or in their wallets, but starting second semester, they will have to have them on their person and visible all the time. We will be offering free lanyards and badge clips for students who need them, or they are welcome to use their own.

At this time, we will be messaging the reinforcement of the school policies: "Student IDs will be visible at all times when on campus for safety and security. Students will incur a $5 charge for a replacement ID unless a fee waiver applies," and "when on-campus for class, special events, advising, visiting, or any other reason, all students are expected to have their student ID on their person and visible at all times. The ID can be displayed with a lanyard, which are available at the CECFC High School Bookstore. This allows the Campus Culture Team to quickly and easily identify students in the event of an emergency. Students who have lost or forgotten their ID will be required to purchase a new ID unless a fee waiver applies to be permitted in the building," to our students and will start fully enforcing the expectation in January.

Thank you for helping us keep the students, staff, and visitors here safe!

Please contact Allison Smith with questions or concerns.

CEC PARENT RESOURCES

Everyone is welcome!

No volunteering, no commitment.

Our Parent Resource Group meetings are friendly and casual, a place for parents to meet other CEC families and share stories, ask questions, and find information. Any questions brought up are placed as an agenda item for our SAC (School Accountability Committee) meetings with CEC Leadership.

Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, they benefit emotionally, socially, and academically.

We all meet regularly to have fun and organize events. Be part of our team! Visit our website or email cecfcsac@gmail.com if you're interested.

Thank you very much, CEC Parents!
