End of Year Shout Outs

Much Appreciation for your Appreciation

Thank you to all our donors who made a gift to CEC for Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week 2024! We raised a total of $7,000+ for the CEC Network! And we couldn’t have done it without your support. Additionally, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the thoughtful in-kind gifts, such as providing lunch, which added an extra layer of appreciation to this special week. Your contributions have truly made a difference in uplifting the spirits of our hardworking educators and staff members.

An Award Winning Yearbook

Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence Awards are presented twice a year, in spring and in fall based on the yearbook’s arrival date at the school. The award was presented to the CEC Fort Collins yearbook program for achieving defined criteria in between one and three of the following categories: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook creation process.

CEC Fort Collins Yearbook earned the Bronze level of achievement in April for hitting all the deadlines and earned Silver level this month for yearbook sales. We are very proud of the staff and advisor: Ms.Shappell, Christina W, Oriana E, Lukas W, Erik A, Faith K, Brandon M, Faith M, Preston S, Devin L, Bri B, Emma C, Isaac M, and Spencer L for all their hard work this year.

We hope you enjoy the yearbook and can’t wait for next year’s book.

Thank you, SGA!

Student Government Association did so much this year, we want to say thank you for all your hard work. From running all the dances to new policy initiatives, they really helped build culture this year. Especially, the Senior Spirit Week and Prom. They were so much fun and got the whole school involved.

We can’t wait to see what they do next year.

If you’re interested in joining SGA, talk to your Advisor or Sofia Shappell.

A Howl-Out to the Wolf Pack

We want to say thank you to the Wolf Pack for all the wonderful activities they did this year. They really helped build community. We’re so happy to have them.

A Round of Applause

The theater directors, Mrs.McCreery, Ms.Shappell, and Mrs.Jenson would like to give one final Congrats to all of the theater students on their wonderful performance. Especially to the graduates- you all built this program. We’re so thankful for you and so so proud!

Security Update

CECFCHS has implemented a new sign-in/sign-out system to help us keep our students and staff safe.

Raptor’s sign-in/sign-out system where students and staff can record their entry and exit times upon arrival and departure from the school building helps to ensure accurate accounting of individuals and real-time tracking of who is in the building at any given time. Using a sign-in/sign-out system is essential for school safety. Here’s why:

  • Emergency Preparedness: In the event of an emergency, the sign-in/sign-out system serves as a valuable tool for quickly identifying who is present in the building. This information is crucial for emergency response efforts and ensuring the safety of all individuals on campus.
  • Restricted Access: Only current students and staff can sign in using their IDs. This helps prevent unauthorized individuals, such as former staff or students from gaining access to the school building.
  • Real-Time Tracking: The system has real-time tracking capabilities, allowing school administrators to monitor the presence of individuals in the building at any given time.
  • Centralized Data Management: All sign-in/sign-out data is managed and easily accessible to authorized personnel, facilitating efficient accounting and tracking of individuals in the school building.

By implementing a comprehensive sign-in/sign-out system with the features outlined above, schools can ensure accurate accounting of individuals, real-time tracking capabilities, and enhanced security measures to safeguard the school community. Please click HERE to learn how the system works. Contact Court Sheffield if you have questions.

CEC PARENT RESOURCES

Everyone is welcome!

No volunteering, no commitment.

Our Parent Resource Group meetings are friendly and casual, a place for parents to meet other CEC families and share stories, ask questions, and find information. Any questions brought up are placed as an agenda item for our SAC (School Accountability Committee) meetings with CEC Leadership.

Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, they benefit emotionally, socially, and academically.

We all meet regularly to have fun and organize events. Be part of our team! Visit our website or email cecfcsac@gmail.com if you're interested.

Thank you very much, CEC Parents!
