Dry Creek Road and Inverness Drive Construction

Improvements are coming soon to the Dry Creek Road and Inverness Drive West corridors! Arapahoe County recently kicked off construction of transportation improvements along Dry Creek Road just east of I-25. In the coming months, construction will also begin along Inverness Drive West between Dry Creek Road and Inverness Drive East. Improvements will make travel through the area safer, help traffic flow, provide a safe and comfortable route for bicyclists, and improve pedestrian travel. Advising Updates

All students

Have you scheduled your Academic Advising session? Why not?

Fall academic advising is required to plan your schedule for next semester. We are noticing that some classes are already full! Don’t wait anymore. Schedule your appointment today.  If you are unsure of who your advisor is, please check Infinite Campus.

The Advising meeting is a vital component of the Colorado Early College model as the time helps to ensure your student is on track for graduation and working towards appropriate post-secondary goals. During this time, we meet with every student and their parent/guardian to update the Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP).

Meetings may be in person or virtual.

During the advising meeting we will:

  • Review grades and attendance
  • Discuss goals for graduation and post-graduation
  • Make sure the appropriate degree/certificate is declared and run a Degree Check
  • Determine the appropriate classes for the next semester
  • Review your academic plan

All academic plans are subject to change based on availability, student grades, attendance and Accuplacer scores.  Please click on link to schedule your advising appointment with your student’s advisor:

Academic advising with Ms. Jameson

Academic advising with Ms. Kjosen

Academic advising with Ms. Rodriguez

(Again, if you are unsure of who your advisor is, please check Infinite Campus)

Fall academic advising ends April 26th Schedule your appointment soon to get a time that is convenient for you!

Community Service

While CEC does not require community service hours for graduation, it is still a good idea for students to find some community service opportunities. University admissions like to admit students who actively participate in their community, and it also provides students with work experience they can put on a job resume. Try to find an organization that supports something you care about and get involved. Volunteermatch.org is a great resource for finding opportunities in your area.
