2023 Summer Research Trainee Program (SRTP) Students Arriving in June | |
The CDI is excited to continue partnering with Mass General departments to expand the pipeline of students who are underrepresented in medicine (UiM) and interested in pursuing careers in academic medicine through the Summer Research Trainee Program (SRTP). We are delighted to welcome 30 outstanding college and medical students to the SRTP Class of 2023. Students are paired with MGH preceptors and conduct novel research in basic science labs, clinical research sites, health policy, and health services settings over 8 weeks during the summer. The SRTP experience culminates with students presenting their research projects to the MGH community.
SRTP is funded by ECOR, the President’s Office, the MGPO, E&CH and the department sponsoring the student. We are grateful to the 2023 sponsors and preceptors who make this program possible!
Students and the departments where they are matched are listed below. Click the image below to enlarge.

It has been a pleasure to meet members of our UiM community and we look forward to future opportunities to do so.
Below are two opportunities to connect with us and here about our progress:
-
Individual 1:1 consultations: We invite you to meet with either of us to discuss your research ambitions, lessons learned, and how we can leverage MGH’s collective resources to favorably shape your professional narratives. Please sign up through our individual Calendly sites (links below).
